Quite likely, though hopefully not, one last colorful hike in the Vienna Woods for the season on Sunday, Clayton Theodore serving as our ever wily guide.
We attempted a favorite hike, but the fog had wiped out the autumn color. So we moved on to another tried and true trail. Bridges across streams and markers to nowhere.
Autumn Crayola-colored trails and shelf mushrooms up high.
Golden paths leading to a Hütte and then back to the car. Payment in pommes for our guide is a requirement, of course.
And all of this eye-candy just a ten-minute drive from home.
