The National Air & Space Museum, of course.

And on the 50th anniversary of Apollo 11’s Moon Landing, too, 20 July. What better way to celebrate this anniversary with my favorite Nerdy Girl than with a visit to Air & Space, where Astronaut Neil Armstrong’s space suit was on display for the first time in over a decade.

Broadcast on the museum’s big screen was a simulation of the mission, along with the real-time data and mission conversation log.

The Lunar Lander was a popular photo stop, too; and there was even a queue to touch a real piece of the moon (spoiler: it’s not made of cheese.)
